Who are we?

We love raking out and repointing. Wether its a patch point or a full wall or house, raking our properly and repointing with correct methods is something we take pride in. Experienced in all joints and finishes we can match to whats historically accurate for your building in lime.

From paint and stain removal to general clean and revival, doffing is the answer. With years of experience we can carefully remove all the paint which could be trapping moisture and causing damp and from there we can fix any problems the paint covered up.

Using the right colours and with an artistic eye we can repair bricks so that they blend in perfectly with their surroundings. Sometimes repairing a brick is more cost effective and less damaging than replacing.

Gauged arches are beautiful but costly. Repairing them may be a more cost effective strategy if it's structurally possibly to do so. We've repaired many arches, removing poor previous attempts at repairs and bodge jobs. It takes a little time and care but it's worth it as they're key features to your facade.

Mortar is meant to be sacrificial. Thats why lime needs to be used to protect your bricks and why cement needs to be removed. Old clay hand made bricks are far too soft for modern hard materials and require softer lime base products that will allow moisture permeation and movement.
