Some before and after shots of past projects

The pointing was to bright and garish and didn't match the original lime built oast house.

First it was a full rake out. But also a clean up of all the bricks as the previous pointers had left mortar on the faces.

Looking original and understated, we got a lovely finish with a penny roll joint.

Built in a 3/1 cement mix these London stocks were crying out for a refresh.

After a lot of chipping out we had it raked out to the correct depth. replaced bricks where necessary and repaired where needed.

This client went for a lovely brushed heritage joint.

Tasked with cement mortar removal, carbon cleaning  and a full rake out repoint in lime this was a great fireplace to bring back to life.

An example of doffing. It's about letting the brickwork breath again and sorting the problems behind the paint. Behind this paint there were 50 repairs and 30 replacement bricks.

After removing the paint we had to remove the lime wash and clean the face of every brick.

Once all the preparations were done it was time to repoint and as per conservations request it was a hot mix, brushed back just a little.

A great example of where replacements are needed.  This houses had been splashed by passing cars and salt in the winter for years causing the faces of the bricks to fail.

Estimated 100 replacements and finished with 130 replaced.
